Scenic Beach State Park-WA

We enjoyed an unexpected visit to the beach this day. Along with my husband, we scoped out a campsite reserved for our youth group.
It was a beautiful, cool, overcast day in WA, big surprise! ;)
While walking along the beach, we noticed a jelly-like substance on the ground and decided to get a better look. After discussing this with Dad, Gabriel found out that it was a jellyfish, no longer living of course! We will remember to wear water shoes when we come back.

Sydney found a few crabs that had gotten stuck in the seaweed, again no longer living! She said they smelled.
Just being out of doors allows us such pleasures and unexpected discoveries. We take it in everyday and thank God for his creations.

Observations

Discoveries can take place no matter where you are. Even when you are just cleaning the lunch dishes! :0

Since we have a bird feeder just outside our kitchen nook, it is easy to know when we have a visitor. We have been on the lookout for our little babies(that are no longer babies!), and I saw a rustling down below.

Upon further investigation(going outside!), I found this curious fellow picking up the droppings from the winged fellows above. When he caught sight of me, he put himself in defense mode(or statue mode as I call it). He stayed in this position for two minutes, allowing me to get some great shots! Thanks Mr. Squirrel.

While observing the squirrel, one of my babies appeared-again no longer a baby. He had been on the hunt for bugs. We also saw him a bit earlier, hopping around our driveway, picking up ants along the way. He even followed them into our garage!

What wonders of God's creation lay just outside our doors!
